How to Build the Gloucester Light DoryThe Gloucester (USA) Light Dory is a rowing-only 15'6" (4.72m) dory based on the 'Banks Dory', the boats used off a mother ship when long-lining for cod off the Grand Banks. The resulting boat rows extremely well and makes a satisfying solo skiff. The construction is simple using the 'stitch and glue' method and the book provides all the information necessary to build the boat. The designer cautions that this boat is not suitable for sail or outboard power.
Softcover, 32 pages, illustrations and plan.
