The author was a well-know Naval Architect and draughtsman operating in his own yard in post-WW2 Chesapeake Bay.
Now possibly appearing somewhat dated he wrote this book for the novice boatbuilder who armed with better quality plywood and adhesives was keen to get afloat.
Few books on boat building cover the subject as succinctly as this one. Just enough information to do the job, not too much to confuse. Well illustrated by the author with detail plans for eleven boats for sail, power or oar. A minor classic.
Hardback, B&W dwgs and plans. 224 pages.
